A creatively designed restaurant and retail concept for Lion & Lamb — combining artisan dining with a curated retail experience inside a beautifully finished interior.
Lion & Lamb is a thoughtfully conceptualized food and retail experience in Southern California, and Tanco was selected as the general contractor to bring the founders’ ambitious vision to life. The 6,500 SF interior combines a full-service restaurant with an integrated retail boutique — bisected by an open kitchen and anchored by a striking feature wall mural visible from the street. Tanco’s scope included all MEP, custom millwork, polished concrete floors, exposed ceiling detail work, and a commercial kitchen build-out designed for both quality and efficiency.
The project required close collaboration between Tanco, the owners, and the design team to honor a creative brief that was unconventional by restaurant standards. Tanco’s experienced project management team kept the build on schedule while accommodating value-engineering exercises that preserved the design intent without exceeding budget — resulting in a finished space that immediately captured the attention of local food and design media upon opening.
